BAPTISMAL PREPARATION

BAPTISMAL PREPARATION classes are offered for parents seeking the sacrament of Baptism for their infant children (under the age of seven.)  Brochures (dark green in color) outlining our requirements are available in the back of the church.  Our next Baptism Preparation Class will be offered May 20, 2010, at 7:00 P.M. in the Religious Education Building.  You must preregister by calling the office.

PLEASE NOTE: We strongly discourage you from bringing any babies or children to class.  This not only distracts you from what is being said, but it also distracts  other parents in attendance.  Thank you for your cooperation.

 FIRST COMMUNION

RETREAT

On Saturday morning, April 17, at 10:00, the children of our parish who will be making their 1st Communion May 2, will be joined by their parents in a day of Retreat.  As part of the preparation process, these families will spend the day in activites centered on the Eucharist.  They will be making banners representative of themselves, which will decorate the church the weekend of First Communion.  They will bake bread together, design and decorate their own blessing cups,  and a few surprise activities.   This ia a major step in the faithlife of the young people.  We want to welcome them to the Lord’s Table, not just for a First Communion or an Only Communion, but for a lifetime of Communion.  Please keep these families in your prayers.
